EXCLUSIVE: Perth’s Kučka Signs With Harbour Agency

Rising Perth avant-pop musician Kučka has signed with the Harbour Agency's Daniel Sant, joining a booking roster that includes Lorde and Oliver Tank.

The most talked about artist at last year's WAM festival and conference, Kučka – real name Laura Jane Lowther – has signed the deal as she looks towards her debut album release in the first half of 2014.

Last year was a breakout year for Lowther, perhaps most notably with A$AP Rocky taking a fancy to her self-titled EP and drafting her in for backing vocals to two tracks on his record.

“Kučka is an amazingly unique talent with real potential to develop a strong worldwide profile,” Sant told theMusic.com.au today, “so a great addition to the roster and can't wait to see her develop.”

Her manager Aarom Wilson added, “Her production and voice is like a lightning bolt of individuality, so we're thrilled to have such a great agency like Harbour and Dan helping Kučka strike more ears in the arena she does it best – live.”

Sant also books Deep Sea Arcade, Tigertown and Gossling.

Kučka's 2014 has started with a video collaboration Maria Masniak for her new single Backyard Plastic Surgery, the video of which will be released in about a month's time. TheMusic.com.au has managed to get its hands on some exclusive stills from the shoot, which you can see below.
