The Afghan Whigs To Release First Album In 16 Years

It's been 16 years since we had a new album from Cincinatti post-punk icons The Afghan Whigs but they have finally  announced the release date of their brand new record Do To The Beast.

The LP, due out on Friday 11 April through Sub Pop/Inertia, is their first release since 1965 came out in 1998. The release follows on from a brief reformation for a string of festival dates in 2012, plus the announcement that they will perform at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Lead single Algiers has been released with an accompanying video, which was directed on location in Agua Dulce, California by Phil Harder - check it out below:
