Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car Following Sydney Dance Party

Police asking for information from people leaving Dash Berlin show

A 24-year-old woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car while allegedly leaving the Dash Berlin show at Sydney Olympic Park.

Police report that the woman was hit by the car on Showground Road at approximately 5.10am on the morning of Saturday 8 February. Transferred to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition, she died around 11pm on Saturday 15 February.

A show headlined by Dutch mega DJ Dash Berlin at Olympic Park's Showground Exhibition Halls was scheduled to run from 10pm Friday until 6am on Saturday morning and police report that the 24-year-old had just left a dance party in the area.

Police are now urgently calling for anyone who was leaving the party at the same time to come forward, as they believe “a number of people were leaving the dance party at the time and may be able to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

A 20-year-old driving a Toyota Camry underwent mandatory blood and urine testing following the accident. He was not injured.
