Rapper T-Pain believes hip hop isn't becoming more "gay-friendly" despite the success of marriage equality anthem Same Love by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Frank Ocean's public coming out in 2012.

In an interview on VladTV (via Buzzfeed), the urban music-maker goes on a rant about homophobia in hip hop, claiming that he also knows of specific artists who won't work with Ocean now that his sexuality is public.

“I think the radio's getting more gay-friendly, I don't think urban music or anything is getting more gay friendly, if that was the case, Frank Ocean would be on a lot more songs,” he states.

"I know niggers that will not do a song with Frank Ocean just because he's gay and they need him on the fucking song."

"Like he [Ocean] was on the Watch The Throne album [Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaboration record] before he came out and then when he came out, it's like, he can't get in the studio with Jay and Kanye right now."
