Three great goddamn rock bands.

More Eagles Of Death Metal More Eagles Of Death Metal

The three best straight ahead rock bands on the Soundwave bill will play sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne next month and there are going to be a lot of very happy and – at the end of the night – very drunk people having the greatest night of their lives at these events.

Firstly, in the headlining position, you have the mighty Eagles Of Death Metal. A band who play super simple, super catchy and super fun rock'n'roll music and who put on a live show that beggars belief, such is the charisma of frontman Jesse Hughes.

Then you have Rocket From The Crypt; a band that haven't been here in 12 years and will absolutely blow the roof off every venue they play while they're in the country. They are a big, bad arse rock'n'roll machine, their music demands drunken sing-alongs as their horn section and heavy rock'n'roll guitar drive their killer songs and Speedo, their masterful frontman, holds the crowd in his palm.

Rounding out this mega bill is Mutemath, a band who really cracked it big over here with their third record Odd Soul and made Australian audiences go gaga when they were last in the country last year.
