Legendary Australian musician and entertainer Rolf Harris will fight 12 charges of indecent assault of girls at a trial after pleading not guilty in London today.

The 83-year-old ARIA Hall Of Fame is facing 12 charges of indecent assaults, dating back to the 1960s, and The Independent report that the charges dealt with today include allegations of Harris performing oral sex or touching the private parts of the girls.

Police allege that one of the victims was assaulted when she was 15, and then again when she was 19.

He is yet to be arraigned on the four charges of making indecent images. He was originally charged with 13 counts, before persecutors added three more in December.

Harris' not guilty pleas means that the case will go to trial, due to start 30 April.

ARIA have previously indicated to theMusic.com.au that they will not comment on whether Harris' status as a Hall Of Famer is in jeopardy while an investigation or trial is ongoing.

The case has arisen as part of the Operation Yewtree investigation, sparked after the posthumous allegations over British TV personality Jimmy Saville. Harris' charges are not related to Saville.
