Sarah Blasko, Secret Garden also winners

Cloud Control, Sarah Blasko, Elizabeth Rose and The Preatures are amongst the artists and creatives who have won SMAC Awards, FBi Radio's annual awards for the Sydney creative and music industries.

Taking place at Carriageworks, the venue's Director Lisa Havilah took out the night's top award for an individual – the SMAC Of The Year.

The repurposed venue of Eveleigh's historic train carriage workshops, which played a pivotal but increasingly underappreciated part in Australia's transport history, the venue has played host to a number of installations and performances in past years, including Sydney Festival shows, the Electronic Music Conference and FBi's own 'Turns 10' music festival.

On the music spectrum, Cloud Control's Dream Cave was voted record of the year over albums by Horrorshow, Kirin J Callinan, Palms and others; Elizabeth Rose the next 'big thing' ahead of Brendan Maclean Dustin Tebbutt, Gang Of Youths and more; Sarah Blasko the best live act in a category with Bloods, Gooch Palms and others; and The Preatures' Is This How You Feel? the best song, beating out Royal Headache's Stand And Stare, Seekae's Another and more.
