Progressive rock trio Mother's Cake have confirmed they'll perform in Australia for the first time this February.

The Austrian outfit will finally get to show off their live show here, playing eight gigs across Adelaide, Ballarat, Geelong, Melbourne, Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney and Brisbane. Tickets for the tour are available now - check out theGuide for more details.

Mother's Cake formed in 2008 and have carved out a very impressive list of collaborators and touring partners in the years since. The trio worked with Ikey Owens of The Mars Volta on their debut album, Creation's Finest, which is out in Aus on Wednesday 12 February via Inaway Records. They've also toured with Iggy Pop And The Stooges, Velvet Revolver, The Deftones, Omar Rodriguez Band and more.
