Aussie rock favourites Birds Of Tokyo have announced their first run of shows for the new year.

The hitmakers will perform headline shows at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre and Canberra's UC Refectory, plus appearances at the Summerset Arts Festival in Perth and the Hurley Australian Open of Surfing at Manly Beach next February. Tickets to all of these shows are on sale now.

It's been a big year for the Perth rock outfit, with the release of their acclaimed fourth album March Fires, which spawned the mega hits This Fire and Lanterns. The guys have spent much of 2013 performing the album live around the country and were the support act for the massive tour from stadium rockers Muse recently.

March Fires is set to be released in North America next year so there are no signs of slowing down for the five-piece anytime soon.
