Winners Of Big Day Out Band Competition Revealed

Some emerging acts have scored themselves a major gig

A handful of emerging Aussie bands have scored themselves the chance to perform at the upcoming Big Day Out festival, with the winners of the headspace competition announced today.

Here are the triumphant acts - who were selected by a panel of industry experts and Triple M - and where they'll perform:

Gold Coast - The Royals, Doubled Lined Minority, The Belligerents and Sneeky Picnic
Melbourne - Audemia, Not Pretend, Altitude and Arcane Saints
Sydney - Tiffany Britchford & The Reckless Abandon, Cuervo, Benjalu and The Never Ever
Adelaide - Sweet Anarchy, Skytheif, Audio Reign and Heston Drop
Perth - My Team Dilemma, Brufield, Lunar Inverse and From the Dunes

The initiative is a partnership between the youth mental health foundation headspace and the festival.
