Brisbane duo DZ Deathrays will be releasing the follow-up record to their breakout debut album Bloodstreams sometime in early 2014, but we've been given a taste of what to expect from the LP now via the song Northern Lights.

The track builds and builds into quite an anthemic number, with some stirring back-up vocals and their usual heavy, grungy guitar style. Listen to it now:

After dropping Bloodstreams in 2011, the pair of Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley toured relentlessly, playing alongside the likes of The Killers and Foo Fighters, plus plenty of gigs on home soil including their turn at April's Groovin' The Moo tour.

They've been laying low as of late but with the release of this new track, we're pretty pumped to hear their sophomore record when it drops.
