Game Of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage Cancels Australian Tour

The excitement surrounding the Australian appearance of Game Of Thrones creator George RR Martin and actor Peter Dinklage has been palpable since it was announced a couple of months ago. Sadly today we have been notified that Dinklage will no longer be making the trip.

This afternoon an email circulated to ticketholders from the Sydney Opera House said that Dinklage was no longer able to travel to Sydney for his appearance at their venue next month. The Wheeler Centre has also removed Dinklage from their event page.

Today the Supanova Pop Culture Expo posted a Facebook update that said film commitments are the reason that Dinklage is no longer able to make it to Australia.

“He is deeply regretful but ultimately had no choice in the matter,” the event posted.

Thankfully a replacement has already been confirmed with Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister in the series, confirmed to appear in his place.
