Unheard Beatles Recordings To Be Released Next Month

After much speculation, it's been confirmed that a new collection of unheard BBC recordings from The Beatles will be officially released next month.

Fans can now pre-order On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2 via iTunes. The record is the follow-up 1994's two-disc Live At The BBC, which has also been digitally remastered for an iTunes release. Both albums are officially available from Friday 8 November.

Volume 2 will feature 63 tracks, 37 of them previously unreleased performances and 23 previously unreleased recordings of the band's in-studio conversations with BBC radio hosts including Pop Go The Beatles presenters Lee Peters and Rodney Burke. The recordings were done during the period of 1963-65. The album will also come with a 48 page digital booklet.

Rumours surrounding the release went into overdrive in August after Philippines-based Universal imprint MCA Music promised a release of recordings from the mid-'60s from the band on their Facebook page. The post was quickly deleted.
