And how to minimise your beer brewin' time wastin'

Last week, we brought you the news that local songstress Kate Miller-Heidke had left her longtime home of Sony Music and was venturing out as an independent artist. She decided to turn to crowdfunding for the making of her next album O Vertigo and drum roll please... the singer has reached her target! So whether you pledged to have Miller-Heidke ring you on your date of birth and sing Happy Birthday to you or if you forked out $10 to get her to sing at your wedding - well it looks like your dream is going to come true. Kudos to the singer for also donating 5% of the pledges to the WWF (World Wildlife Fund).

Name: Don Fernando
Project: Get Don Fernando To Brazil
Current Status: 14 pledgers, $900 of a $5,000 goal, 30 days to go

Melbourne stoner rock outfit Don Fernando have been offered the chance to headline the Dosol Street Festival in Brazil before the year is out and they need your help to do it. While the guys have estimated it will cost them around $20k all up for the trip, they're only asking for $5k from you - they need to finish off paying for their flights which are around $2,500 per person.

Name: PicoBrew LLC
Project: PicoBrew Zymatic: Automatic Beer Brewing Appliance
Current Status: 118 pledgers, $86,393 of a $150,000 (USD) goal, 29 days to go

Ever thought to yourself how sick it would be to brew your own beer but you really couldn't be fucked to actually do it? I mean it all looks pretty time-consuming even if the end result is worth it. US company PicoBrew LLC have come up with an innovative machine to help simplify the process of home brewin' - basically they call it "an espresso maker for beer". Sounds pretty sweet to us.

The guys now want to implement the machine on a more global scale which is where their campaign comes into play. Benefits for pledgers range from simple t-shirts for $19 but if you fork out $1,299 you can get your mits on the complete PicoBrew Zymatic set-up.
