More and more artists in the contemporary music industry are making the switch to becoming part of the 'industry' side of the business, a trend which was the topic of a BIGSOUND panel last week.

Featuring Jet's Mark Wilson who now works at Warner and You Am I's member and manager Andy Kent, the panel addressed getting the balance between the creative and the business right and how they made the jump.

Facilitated by theMusic.com.au's Dan Condon, the panel also featured Your Favourite Enemies guitarist and Hopeful Tragedy Records' Jeff Beaulieu, session musician and manager Marty Brown and producer and The Middle East member Mark Myers.
