More Illy More Illy

Australian hip-hop favourite Illy has announced his new album Cinematic will be released Friday 8 November.

Speaking about the new album Illy says, “This will be my fourth album in five years; I've learned a lot and directed this experience into Cinematic. The concepts are tighter, the hooks are more finessed and the beats are off the chart!”

The album was recorded at M Phaze's studio in Melbourne and features guest appearances from The Hilltop Hoods, Drapht, Daniel Merriweather, Kira Puru and more. This will also be the first album to be released through Ily's own record label ONETWO, which is a joint venture with UNIFED.

The first single to come from the record, On and On, was released earlier this year, and the next single will be Youngbloods featuring Ahren Stringer from The Amity Affliction, which will be available on Friday 27 September.

Because Illy's such a cool guy, in celebration of the launch of Cinematic he will be giving away GoPro cameras to launch an innovative instagram competition – to get in on the action all you need to do is follow Illy's instagram feed and decipher the clues given to uncover the hidden location of the cameras. The first person to find it will win! Simple as that! To make the deal even sweeter, there's runner-up prizes as well; some brand new bespoke New Era gear. Awesome!

You can expect to hear a preview of the tracks to come from Ily's new album Cinematic when he hits the road for his national tour where he will be joined by Tuka, All Day and Elemont.
