Don't play ball? Maybe you could buy a van.

Some Aussie acts are selling whatever they can to make sure their recording and touring dreams are executed as best as they can be.

Name: Jeremy Neale
Project: New EP
Current Status: 11 pledges, 12.3% ($615) of $5,000 goal achieved. 35 days remaining.

We've covered a lot of Jeremy Neale stuff on this website over the past few months, because we believe in him. We believe in the power of his music. And we believe in his abilities as one of the most truly grouse up and coming Australian musicians on the indie circuit.

He has a new EP, which he has been recording with the likes of Tony Buchen, Sean Cook and Simon Berkfinger, and is hoping to release it soon. But in order to do that he needs money to finish mixing, mastering and pressing the record.

Unsurprisingly, Neale has come up with some great perks; dinner with him at Oporto for $150 or at Halim's Indian Restaurant in the Brisbane suburb of Rosalie for $200 for those who want to share a meal.

Neale will coach your basketball team for one game for $250 and will then take you all out for ice cream. He'll give you ten hours of recording time in his bedroom studio for $350 oor he'll make a film clip for you for $100. You've seen the above video and videos for his recent singles have come accompanied with pretty incredible clips as well; it'll be money well spent.

Name: Monolith
Project: Tour documentary
Current Status: 44 pledges, 105% ($1,581) of $1,500 goal. 34 days remaining.

Brisbane's Monolith – a DIY touring company and record label – have booked a tour that will take live, underground heavy metal to places it just doesn't usually go. Places like Cairns, Rockhampton, Mildura, Alice Springs and Santa Teresa will see the mighty Palm from Japan and A Secret Death from Brisbane thanks to an ambitious but admirable touring schedule.

Such a unique tour ought to be documented, so filmmaker Wilson Bambrick is tagging along for the ride to capture what happens on tour. In order to make the film properly, they need to make sure their equipment is up to scratch and will also need to pay for translation (which is very costly) so that fans in both Japan and Australia can enjoy the fruits of their labour.

At present the perks are basically just pre-ordered tickets for $15 a pop, or you can get records and a poster for $30 or be an executive producer for $500, though we have been assured that they are looking into different, more exciting perks as the campaign rolls on.

Who knows why they have only asked for $1,500 – we all know it's going to cost a lot more than that to make a film – so chip in a few bucks if you feel you'd like to see this movie even if they have already surpassed their target.

Name: The Delta Riggs
Project: US tour support
Current Status: 0 pledges, 0% of unknown goal achieved, 58 days remaining.

Aussie rockers The Delta Riggs are one of many Aussie acts who will head over to New York City to show the US industry what they have to offer, playing the CMJ Music Marathon this October. They're paying for most of it themselves, but they also have heaps of cool shit they're offering up to fans who want to lend a hand.

Everyone who pledges gets a download of their new record Hex.Lover.Killer, $15 gets you a postcard, $30 gets you a snow dome, you can take a Skype guitar lesson for $100, pick up a custom made Akubra for $200, have the band write you a song for $1,500 or even buy the band's trusty tour van for $6,000!

Also in crowdfunding this week:

Kickstarter is coming to Australia. While there are no shortage of options for Australian who want to crowdfund (as we have shown over the past six months or so), Kickstarter's entry to the Australian market is going to turn things on their head. It's not as if it hasn't been expected, but it will be interesting to see how they fit in the market at this stage.  I'd recommend keeping your eye on this page.

IndieGoGo are trying to get a Crowdfunding For Musicians panel happening at SxSW, if you support the idea of this happening then you can read more about it and show your support over here.
