Aussie troubadour Jordie Lane has announced the release of a new EP and a massive 20-date tour in celebration, stretching from one side of the country to the other in late-October and all through November this year.

The Not Built To Last EP is his follow-up to 2011's full-length Blood Thinner, an offering that harnessed plenty of buzz and cemented Lane as one of Australia's best up-and-coming songwriters, scoring a Australian Independent Music Awards nomination for Best Blues & Roots Album in 2012.

Since Blood Thinner, Jordie Lane has kept himself busy with four tours, support slots with Moody Blues, Billy Bragg and Ruthie Foster and climbed to iTunes Song of the Week with single, Fool For Love, which was downloaded 40,000 times.

In May this year, he made the move to Los Angeles for two-months to record and work on some co-writing ventures – also taking some time to tour North America and perform at the Winnipeg and Calgary Folk Festivals – but is ready to come home and show-off what he has produced in his time away and share his travel stories.

The 20-date Not Built To Last Tour includes a few festival appearances, including the Mullum Music Festival and South Australia's Fleurieu Folk Festival.

Jordie Lane's Not Built To Last EP will be released Friday 18 October through Vitamin Records.
