MMLP2 will hit shelves in November

More Eminem More Eminem

A stack more details on the long-awaited new record from hip hop superstar Eminem have been revealed in a short video teaser today, initially shown as a commercial during today's MTV VMAs. Interestingly, the new record MMLP2 is to be a sequel to his enormously successful 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP.

That album, his third, has sold over 21 million copies worldwide since its release and, in its first week of release, was the fastest-selling studio album by any solo artist in American music history. It spawned the massive singles The Real Slim Shady, Stanand The Way I Am as well as controversial tracks like the hateful Kim.

The new record has Dr Dre and Rick Rubin credited as its executive producers and will be released in the United States on Tuesday 5 November.
