Ngaiire will be promoting her debut album Lamentations

More Ngaiire More Ngaiire

Sydney folk/soul chanteuse Ngaiire has announced a national tour in support of her stunning debut album Lamentations – an album whose title drew inspiration from one of her favourite compositions, Dido's Lament by baroque composer Henry Purcell and the Biblical and poetic Book Of Lamenations, which mourns the fall of Jerusalem. With such powerful souces of inspiration, it's no wonder the tone of her album comes across as soulful and melancholic.

The aesthetic sound of Lamentations was created in Japan with her collaborator Aaron Choulai, and was then digitally assisted by Sydney producer Tim Curnick. The album has been receiving rave reviews since its release – check out our reviews here and here.

Two singles have already been lifted from the album, Around and Dirty Hercules.
