Jessica Ducrou, Janelle McCarthy and Millie Millgate make the AMID Power 50

At least three women have made the top ten of this year's AMID Power 50 most powerful people in the music industry list, as another five names are released today.

Splendour In The Grass/Falls Festival/Village Sounds' Jessica Ducrou appears in the list by herself this year, after making it with business partner Paul Piticco last year, at sixth position. Not far behind are iTunes' Janelle McCarthy, a new entry at eight now the streaming influx has settled down, and Sounds Australia's boss Millie Millgate, who is opening up new opportunities for Australian artists all over the world.

Other entries in the latest round of names released at Totem Onelove Group's Richie McNeill at seven, who's guided dance festival Stereosonic into arguably the nation's biggest festival, and triple j Music Director Richard Kingsmill, who jumps 36 places up to six after he took the tastemaking reigns over once more after an extended period of leave.

The top five most powerful people in the music industry will be revealed tomorrow when the top 20 names are revealed, while the full 50 list will be announced in the Australasian Music Industry Directory, which comes out next week.
