Perth vs pop vs Passenger

With Karnivool sitting atop the ARIA Albums Charts this week for the first time with Asymmetry (although for frontman Ian Kenny, it's two in a year counting Birds Of Tokyo), the biggest challenges to its top spot will come from existing albums.

According to midweek figures, P!nk's The Truth About Love (currently two) and Passenger's All The Little Lights (currently six) will give the number one spot its biggest shake. New releases from Kate Ceberano, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes and a live album from The Rolling Stones' recent Hyde Park gig are the leading debuts, but at this stage they're not troubling the top three.

The Splendour effect will still be felt throughout the chart, with James Blake and no-show Frank Ocean in particular experiencing spikes.

The Splendour jump is also evident in the ARIA Singles Chart, where late addition Lorde's The Love Club EP has had a sales surge. She'll still need a little more to overtake Avicii's current number one Wake Me Up and OneRepublic's number two Counting Stars, which is currently the biggest threat to the top spot.

Karmin's Acapella jumped from 17 to eight last week and will rise once more this week, while Chris Brown's new track Love More will enter the top 50 and Imagine Dragons' On Top Of The World will move into the top 50 from last week's debut at 88.
