The legendary Nick Cave has been announced on the next round of speakers for the BIGSOUND Music+Design event to happen in Brisbane this September. Cave will be interviewed via satellite by Rockwiz host Julia Zemiro, where they will no doubt delve into Cave's varied career as a songwriter, actor, screenwriter, composer and more.

Also joining the list of announced speakers today include Vello Virkhaus from V Squared Labs, (whose done visual work with Amon Tobin, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Skrillex), Aaron Hayward of design studio Debaser; Josh Gardiner from VICE, much revered rock photographer Tony Mott; Nimrod Weis of ENESS, and Peter Cooper, from Rode Microphones.

Elliott Wheeler, who has recently completed work on scoring for The Great Gatsby, brilliant Aussie producer Lachlan Goold (Magoo) and film and music video director, Natasha Pincus will join in the film component of the event.

All things DIY will be discussed with Paul Curtis and Regurgitator, animator, director and musician Celeste Potter, visual artist and musician, Jhonny Russell and the legendary Ray Ahn who has been the artist as well as bassplayer and song-writer for Aussie punk legends the Hard-Ons.

On the fashion side of things, Australian Fashion Week's Simon Lock and magazine style editor Kirsten Doak also get involved on the line up.

There will be two days of the conference element, running on Tuesday 10 September and Wednesday 11, while there will also be a showcase at Fortitude Valley's Artisan Gallery Car Park on Wednesday 11 September and Thursday 12.
