Two of Australia's most promising acts, up-and-coming hip hop artist Chance Waters and Sydney's The Griswolds, are hitting the road together, performing three big shows down the east coast.

The More Than Just Friends tour will see both outfits take the stage in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this September and early October, also set to perform a new collaborative song, so far unnamed, that the musicians have been working on in the studio for Water's upcoming record.

Both have been highly successful in their respective fields of late, Chance Waters snatching two spots in triple j's Hottest 100 of 2012 - Young and Dumb (featuring Bertie Blackman) at #45 and Maybe Tomorrow at #89 – and The Griswolds taking 2013 by storm with their highly played tunes Heart of a Lion and The Courtship of Summer Preasley.

Additionally, in the last year both have secured new record deals, Waters signing with Island Records and The Griswolds securing worldwide deal with US-based Wind-Up Records, also touring Europe and the UK with much success.

And here is a clip we found from The Griswold's recent tour of Europe, this one taken from a record store show in Amsterdam.
