Ride 'em Cowboy!

More The Rubens More The Rubens

Local boys The Rubens have gone Hollywood. Well, kinda. The New South Welshmen have scored a track on the soundtrack to the Johnny Depp adventure movie The Lone Ranger.

The four-piece alternative rockers join the likes of Gomez, Iggy Pop, Lucinda Williams, Shane MacGowan and Pete Molinari on The Lone Ranger: Wanted. Their appropriately titled track Cowboy will feature on the soundtrack. Here's what it sounds like if you haven't heard it already.

The album is out this Friday 28 June via Universal Music Australia - you can pre-order it now on iTunes. And you can catch Depp as the iconic character of Tonto, plus Armie Hammer, Tom Wilkinson and Helena Bonham Carter in the adventure flick in cinemas from Thursday 4 July.
