Aussie winners announced as well

Only God Forgives the violent Ryan Gosling film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn has won the 2013 Sydney Film Festival official competition, while the winners of other categories have also been revealed.

The $10,000 FOXTEL Australian Documentary Prize was awarded to Dylan McDonald's Buckskin, while the $5,000 Dendy Award For Best Live Action Short went to Miranda Nation's Perception, the $5,000 Rouben Mamoulian Award for best direction in the Dendy Awards completion went to David Lyons for Record and the best Australian animated short film category the $4,000 Yoram Gross Animation Award went to Isabel Peppard's Butterflies.

The festival wrapped up with the closing night last night.
