Stream Smith Westerns' Dreamy New LP

Jun 17th 2013 | 3:18pm | Staff Writer
Chicago's Smith Westerns burst onto the scene with their excellent self-titled debut LP a few years back now, but it was its follow up Dye It Blonde that had the group on the lips of just about every indie music lover back in 2011.

Now they follow that great record up with an even better one; Soft Will is a more assured record with better hooks, more charming musical ideas and reflections on some of the best psychedelic pop music of yesteryear. What's even better  is that we have it streaming in full before its release next Friday!

Listen to the record here.

This is the first LP the band have released since adding great former-Unknown Mortal Orchestra drummer Julien Ehlrich, who slots in very nicely, and has the band constructing the best pop of their career thus far. Don't take our word for it though…
