More Rudimental More Rudimental

UK drum'n'bass outfit Rudimental has outshone a lot of the 'traditional' Mothers Day releases on the ARIA Albums Chart this year, with their record Home debuting at two behind Michael Buble's To Be Loved (which holds top spot for a fourth week).

It is Rudimental's highest chart position and comes on the back of three top 20 singles – Feel The Love (three), Not Giving In (12) and Waiting All Night (11 this week).

As predicted, Rod Stewart's Time was another strong debut arriving at six while Ricky Martin's Greatest Hits rose from six to four while country superstars Lady Antebellum debuted at eight with Golden.

It wasn't all good news for the Mothers Day market though, reality TV contestant Jason Owen fell from five to seven, The Voice's Rachael Leahcar only just scraped into the top ten at ten and Anthony Callea's Thirty fell from 18 to 26. Andrew Rieu's Mother & Child – Lullabies The Whole World Loves jumped from 21 to 50.

With a solo album released last week, former ABBA member Agnetha appeared for an interview on Channel 7 last Sunday –the exposure boosting her former band's 18 Hits and ABBA Gold into 42 and 45 respectively.

The ARIA Digital Charts saw Rudimental hot top spot with Taylor Swift's Red shooting to two thanks to her Australian tour announce. Lady Antebellum debuted at three there.

In the ARIA Singles Chart Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines featuring Pharrell and T.I  jumps Daft Punk's Get Lucky (also featuring Pharrell). There were big top ten gains for Jason Derulo's The Other Side (four) and will.i.am featuring Justin Bieber's #thatPower (eight).

Contestants on The Voice are edging ever-closer to the top ten as well with Harrison Craig's Home debuting at 13, Jackie Sannia's Arithmetic at 24, Miss Murphy's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word at 30 Steve Clisby's God Bless The Child at 31 and Michael Paynter's The Horses at 34.

The Mothers Day effect was in full force in the ARIA Music DVDs chart however, with Andrew Rieu holding six entries in the top 27 – including number one with Live In Brazil. Music For Mum hit the top spot in the Compilations Chart as well.

Over in the UK charts Knife Party's new single Power Glove debuted at 43 on the UK singles chart. Sia's collab with David Guetta Titanium is at 87, having spent 78 weeks in the top 100.
