It's that time of the week again!

Primal Scream – More Light (Ignition/Inertia)

These Scots 1991 classic Screamadelica pioneered that potent blend of electronica and indie which is all the rage these days, but while good, album #10 isn't really a patch on their best work.

MS MR – Secondhand Rapture (Sony)

The sameyness of this debut full-length from the Brooklyn duo shows that a handful of good tracks do not always make for a great album.

Four Tet – Rounds [Reissue] (Domino/EMI)

His mum calls him Kieran Hebden, and his breakthrough album has just been rereleased with a bonus live set on an extra disc. Check out our review of this influential postglitchjazztronica milestone that stands tall on its tenth birthday.

Joshua Redman – Walking Shadows (Nonesuch/Warner)

Redman drives his band ably through an album of sax-driven hard bop, but even with a string section backing him up, he could afford to step outside the box from time to time.

Alison Moyet – the minutes (Cooking Vinyl)

She was one half of the UK synthpop two-piece Yazoo in the 80s, and her latest album finds her trying to split the difference between electronica and classic pop songwriting. She had a chat to us about how one makes a comeback like this work.
