Earthless Frontman To Tour With Tame Impala Bassist

He's pulled together an impressive one-off backing band!

After two successful tours with his main band Earthless, the Californian guitar wonder Isaiah Mitchell is returning to Australian shores for his first solo tour, featuring a couple of dates as the one-off The Black Elk Medicine Band.

Even in a genre that prides itself on superlative guitar artistry, Mitchell has received massive accolades from the metal world for his fret-melting, blues-and-psych-inflected soloing.

While performing alone for most of the tour, a handful of dates will feature The Black Elk Medicine Band, where Mitchell will be accompanied by the rhythm section of Robert McManus on drums (ex-Grey Daturas, now a successful Australian metal/experimental promoter) and Nick 'Paisely Adams' Allbrook on bass (Tame Impala, Pond).

If epic guitar is your thang, you'd probably want to get along to one of the following dates. Tickets go on sale Friday 18 April, the vendor TBC.
