Major ticket re-allocations as a result

More Aerosmith More Aerosmith

Aerosmith have joined the line-up for the Stone Music Festival alongside Van Halen at the expense of their existing Sydney show.

The iconic hard rock outfit had intended to play Sydney's ANZ Stadium Sunday 28 April but will now join the Saturday 20 April line-up of Stone Music at the same venue. Current ticket holders will be re-issued with Stone Music Fest tickets.

Aerosmith's promoter Andrew McManus, who originally was not involved with the festival, said today, “They said it would never happen! Well I can tell you 'they' are wrong! It is with great pleasure that I can today announce Aerosmith are joining the Saturday 20th line up of Stone Music Festival in Sydney in what will be the rock spectacular of the year! With no alteration to prices, Aerosmith will play their full set alongside Van Halen for a night of sheer music euphoria! This double bill has never happened before.”

As part of the addition there has been a reshuffle of tickets. Stone Music platinum ticketholders with reserved seating will be reallocated into platinum general admission, while general admission ticketholders will now be reallocated gold reserve tickets (a new category). Gold reserved seating “will provide a central seating position in close proximity to the stage.”

For Aerosmith ticket holders, general admission ticketholders will be provided with tickets for the festival's platinum general admission section, the same area as was assigned for the Aerosmith show. Gold reserve ticketholders will receive gold reserve tickets. Silver and bronze Aerosmith ticket holders will be issued tickets on Level 4 West.

New tickets will be sent out Friday 5 April. The festival's capacity will be 25,000 each day.

Also announced today was the addition of local stages.
