This Week's Releases

New music from Killswitch Engage, Bring Me The Horizon, Tyler The Creator, Lil Wayne & The Black Angels!

Here's some of the new albums coming your way:

Killswitch EngageDisarm The Descent (Roadrunner/Warner)

We've got a stream up of the latest from these metalcore kings, which also happens to be their first album with returning vocalist Jesse Leach, who we interviewed along with the band's musical mastermind, Adam Dutkiewicz. Oh, and while the album doesn't stray from that indentifiable Killswitch sound, it still packs some killer jams.

Bring Me The HorizonSempiternal (Sony)

Speaking of metalcore, here's another big record from one of the genre's big hitters. With producer Terry Date (Deftones, Pantera, Soundgarden) behind their board, Bring Me The Horizon plays to their strengths, jamming welcome electronic flourishes and pop smarts among their requisite brutality.

The Black AngelsIndigo Meadow (Pod/Inertia)

These Texan pyschonauts have reined in some of their more expansive tendencies for this latest outing, but fans will be happy to know that punchy songs haven't come at the expense of the bands fuzzed-out attack and dark, drugged-out atmosphere.

Milk MusicCruise Your Illusion (Spunk/Cooperative)

Do you like Hüsker Dü's lo-fi punk fury? Neil Young's fuzztone jams? Built to Spill's indie guitar heroics? These Olympia, Washington lads skillfully blend all of the above together on their excellent debut, signalling a strong future.

Bonobo The North Borders (Ninja Tune/Inertia)

An assured album of downbeat electronica from Simon Green, where he works his keen melodic sense and detailed beatmaking against guest spots from the likes of Erykah Badu and Grey Reverend.

The TongueSurrender to Victory (Elefant Traks/Inertia)

After a bit of an underappreciated debut, this second effort from The Tongue finds him flexing his vocal chops alongside his intellect. It's definitely not short on killer tracks, so hopefully it brings the profile that this young MC deserves.

The Milk Carton Kids – The Ash & Clay (Anti-/Epitaph)

Here's a wonderful little slice of rustic, folksy Americana from this LA duo. If you can't get enough o' them bittersweet country-twangin' vocal harmonies, this stream we've got of The Ash & Clay is for you.

Tripod – Men of Substance (Anti-/Epitaph)

We're streaming the latest from Australia's premier (and probably only) three-part harmonizin', geek reference spoutin' musical comedy act. If you think that sounds like dim praise, then the guys in Tripod wouldn't want it any other way.
