He will play shows throughout winter.

Melbourne musician David Bridie has been busy touring the world the past couple of years, but will be back touring his homeland and is releasing new music.

Shortest Day Of The Year is the debut single off Bridie's upcoming solo record Wake. You can download a copy of the song here. The track was written while the singer was on tour in Scotland, ironically on one of the longest days of the year, where the sun didn't start to set until around midnight.

Bridie will hit the road in June for a string of shows. More details are to come regarding the album release, but for now, bask in the fact that this acclaimed muso is back in the spotlight.
