Mötley Crüe were forced to cut their second Sydney set short last night, with band members reporting that frontman Vince Neil was rushed to hospital with internal pain.

Touring with Kiss, the iconic rock band were playing Olympic Park's Allphones Arena and Neil was taken from the stadium by ambulance after complaining of pain.

The band's Mick Mars blamed it on kidney stones on Twitter while Neil's girlfriend Rain Andreani told the Las Vegas Sun, “It's unknown for the moment what the illness is. He will get the results of the scan Monday morning Australian time  and it's possible that he may have to undergo an operation.”

UPDATE: Vince Neil has Tweeted from hospital, saying he's undergone surgery but hopes to be right for the rest of the tour.
