The hip hop star will play dates around the country mid-year.

He's one of the hottest names in hip hop at this present time and now A$AP Rocky has decided it's time to pay us a visit down under, announcing his first ever Australian dates this afternoon.

His debut mixtape LiveLoveA$AP was widely praised upon its release in 2011, so you can bet there was a hell of a lot of hype leading up to the release of his debut album, Long. Live. A$AP, which was released earlier this year.

Does it live up to the hype? Well, that depends on who you ask, one thing is for sure though, he's the voice that plenty of us want to hear in 2013 and that voice is coming down for what will definitely be some massive shows.

The Long.Live.A$AP tour will be hitting four of the nation's capital cities over the space of four nights. Tickets are available from 9am Thursday 28 February and we reckon you'll probably be wise to grab a ticket fairly soon after they become available. Dates below:

Thursday 27 June – Arena, Brisbane
Friday 28 June – The Palace, Melbourne
Saturday 29 June – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Sunday 30 June – Metro City, Perth
