It has been a long wait, but Thinking In Textures has finally made its debut on the ARIA charts.

More Chet Faker More Chet Faker

Thinking In Textures, the debut mini-album from Melbourne electro wunderkind Chet Faker has finally managed to pick up a spot on the ARIA charts, almost a year after its release.

The sudden interest in the record has come thanks to hugely attended shows at the Laneway Festival around the country and the inclusion of Chet Faker's version of the Blackstreet and Dr Dre song No Diggity on an advertisement for the Becks beer company during the Super Bowl last week.

The record comes into the ARIA chart at number 44 in its first week.

The top spot on the album charts this week goes, as expected, to a fellow Laneway artist in Of Monsters & Men, the band finally securing the number one position after spending 19 weeks on the chart. Last week's number one artist Flume manages to hold on to a top five spot, dropping down to fourth position this week.

Laneway's Bat For Lashes has also enjoyed a resurgence on the album chart, her The Haunted Man LP rockets back into the charts at number 21.

The highest charting debut of the week comes from Josh Groban, a tour announcement no doubt helping his All That Echoes debut at number 11. Pete Murray was the highest debuting Aussie, with his Blue Sky Blue - The Byron Sessions, which sees him team up with some famous friends, entering the chart at number 17 for its first week.
