We premiere a special behind the scenes video of Pete Murray's star-studded new album.

More Pete Murray More Pete Murray

This Friday will see roots-pop singer-songwriter Pete Murray release Blue Sky Blue: The Byron Sessions, an album that sees Murray take the songs from his latest LP Blue Sky Blue and give them to a few of his most talented musical friends to give them a whole new lease on life.

He's re-recorded the songs with the hope of bringing out the essence of his adopted hometown of Byron Bay; stripping them back and embracing the spirit of collaboration as some of the country's most renowned roots, rock and pop musicians come in to lend a hand. People like Bernard Fanning, Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Katie Noonan, Ash Grunwald, Scott Owen (The Living End), Busby Marou and Fantine are all over the album, giving these songs a respectful reworking.

Today we are pleased to premiere something of a behind the scenes look at the album, Murray taking us into his house, his van and the water to give us a bit of a taste of his Byron lifestyle.
