But this means no Little Steven.

More Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band More Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band

In news that will delight some and make others very disappointed indeed, Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band is undergoing a rather large change for the forthcoming Australian tour.

Guitarist Steven Van Zandt, who has been a member of the band since the mid-1970s, has also become a renowned actor in recent years, most famous of course for his brilliant work as Silvio Dante in the HBO smash hit The Sopranos. It turns out that, according to Rolling Stone, Van Zandt is all tied up with the filming of his Netflix showLilyhammer, whoch he co-writes as well as stars in, and won't be able to make it to Australia for the much anticipated dates.

But Bruce Springsteen can call on favours from some pretty impressive friends and he has done just that with the masterful Tom Morello, who has agreed to join The E-Street Band for these Australian dates. For those unfamiliar with his work, Morello was the guitarist for Los Angeles rap metal legends Rage Against The Machine as well as supergroup Audioslave and plays solo under the name The Nightwatchman.

The dates for Springsteen's sold out Australian tour are as follows:
