More Xavier Rudd More Xavier Rudd

Another announcement for the Port Fairy Folk Music Festival has dropped this morning and it features another delectable selection of acts who will fit right in at the Victorian event that takes place over the Labour Day Long Weekend.

Xavier Rudd is one of the biggest names in Australian roots music right now – trust us, we know – and with his latest record Spirit Bird he has again proved that he has a very wide stretching appeal; thus we're expecting he'll draw plenty of people when he plays Port Fairy this year.

There are a bunch of other acts on this latest announcement as well; from the UK comes Sean Taylor and the London Klezmer Quartet, while the United States' Buke & Gase also getting involved, joining locals Cactus Channel, Baby et Lulu, The Ramshackle Army, Riogh, Andy Alberts & The Walkabouts, Mustered Courage, Matthew Fagan and The Stillsons.

They join an already packed line up for the event's 37th installment that includes the likes of  Arlo Guthrie, Gurrumul, Kate Miller-Heidke, Ruthie Foster, Sara Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion, Christine Anu, John McCutcheon, Finbar Furey, Glen Hansard, The Popes, Chris Smither, Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Shane Howard, Russell Morris, The Bedroom Philosopher, Seth Lakeman and a whole heap more.
