Ladyhawke Heads Free Newtown Hotel NYD Bill With DJ Set

Newtown Hotel have announced the lineup for their free 2013 New Year''s Day party, keeping the good times rolling with a DJ set from Ladyhawke, the electropop Kiwi headlining a lineup of sweet dance floor acts.

Whether you're after a night out to recover from NYE or to continue the 2013 celebrations, they've offered sweet mix of acts to get you in the mood, with Purple Sneakers DJs, Joyride, Girlthing DJs and Shag backing up the new wave songstress.

Ladyhawke is currently riding off the success of her second full length Anxiety, following the wildly successful self-titled debut that released popular tunes like My Delirium and Paris Is Burning, earning her two spots in the top 30 in 2008's triple j's Hottest 100.

With a busy day ahead of them, Purple Sneakers DJs will make their way to Newtown after playing at Field Day, while party-goers can also expect an energetic show from host of FBI Radio's 'The Drop' Joyride, as well as Girlthing DJs and Shag – best of all, it's free!

The event kicks off at 3pm on New Years Day, so get in there and continue to welcome in 2013.
