More The Temper Trap More The Temper Trap

Aussies The Temper Trap have been recognised at the UK Video Music Awards this morning, with their clip for Trembling Hands picking up a technical award.

As well as 'music genre' awards that are split between UK and International categories, the UK VMAs aim to recognise technical achievements and general innovation in the medium through a large selection of categories.

Held last night – this morning Australian time – there has been no official word from the awards themselves, but the band tweeted earlier today that the video for Trembling Hands had won. The only category they wer nominated in was Best Telecine (aka Grading) In A Video. The video, directed by Tom Haines and with telecine by James Tillet at MPC, was up against James Blake's A Case Of You, Justice's New Lands, Jay-Z & Kanye West's No Church In The Wild, The Shoes' Time To Dance and Will Young Losing Myself.
