MCM Continue Digital Roll-Out With Mobile Site

And Universal Music Publishing re-launch their site

MCM Media have continued their long-tern roll out of digital media platforms with the launch of new mobile site and iPhone app for their radio program The Hot Hits.

In the past 12 months MCM have signalled their intention to develop the digital presence of their brands, which includes fellow popular music production Take 40. They partnered with video streaming giant VEVO and were behind the relaunch of the ARIA Charts' website earlier this year.

Today the group's Content Director Sam Thompson said that mobile delivers “almost a third” of the site's traffic, highlight the shift in popular music consumption. The re-launch, “ensures visitors get a fantastic experience – both from a content and user perspective - wherever they come from,” he claimed.

In other digital news, Universal Music Publishing have re-launched their website to provide greater interactivity to their roster. The site aims to give an overview of their songwriters as well as create original content through A&R series The Writers Block.

Heath Johns, Director of A&R, said, “A&R is central to everything we do at UMPG so it was important that our diverse roster of Australian and New Zealand songwriters had a regionalised online presence. The Writers Block is a particularly exciting initiative as it gives our songwriters the forum to offer some unique insights into the nuts and bolts of the songwriting process.” The first Writers Block feature is with 360.
