Tame Impala
You can talk all you want about second album syndrome, but it seems that Perth's Tame Impala have totally fucking nailed Lonerism. The record hasn't received a bad wrap yet from tastemakers here or around the world, and fans are falling in live with Kevin Parker's creation all over again. They're quickly becoming one of the most in-demand bands on the festival circuit, and who knows how long they'll keep playing here before heading overseas.

Last Dinosaurs
You could make a link in the career arc of Brisbane's Last Dinosaurs with the band above, after a widely acclaimed debut album In A Million Years they the melodic indie rock kids quickly found the attention of international parties. Returning to the country for festival season, they're no strangers to the big stage given their stints on Splendour and Falls in the past.

Parachute Youth
Sweat It Out's Sydney/Adelaide duo Sweat It Out break up the rock acts on this announcement, their smooth, reverb-drenched house bombs evident in their breakout track Can't Get Better Than This. They moved to Paris shortly after forming, and their influence of the city of love is not lost on the hint of melancholic loneliness.

Hermitude
Seriously, how good is their album HyperParadise? Album of the year for many, the hip hop beat-masters are starting to break international boundaries, but it's in their home city (well, Blue Mountains technically) that they're best consumed.

Seth Sentry
Melbourne's Seth Sentry also finds himself on the bill having landed a massive sixth on the ARIA Album Charts recently with new album This Was Tomorrow. You would have heard Float Away, it was everywhere.

Hey Geronimo
Made up of members from Brisbane indie bands(Blame Ringo, The Boat People, Montpellier), Hey Geronimo is starting to look like it's more than just the sum of its parts. They're starting to become a festival staple this season, so don't blame this 'loud rock' act for the canning of The Circle.

Sticky Fingers
Inner city lads Sticky Fingers will find themselves right at home on this year's Homebake, their psych-leaning rock (reggae and pop influences, too) rubbing shoulders with the rest of the line-up. Their debut album was produced by Evermore's Dann Hume, which should wield interesting results.

The Griswolds
Something for the local trainspotters, indie pop four-piece are just starting to build up a head of steam on the back of their EP Heart Of A Lion.

Lime Cordiale
Remember how Chugg Entertainment have become co-promoters of Homebake? Well, Michael Chugg is a huge fan of Lime Cordiale. Like, a really huge fan. They're turning up everywhere here and around the world, so expect to hear a whole lot more.

Underlights
Hailing from Sydney and with a strong Brit-rock influence, Underlights have changed it up recently and undergone a member revamp. Their first show with a 'new line-up' was at BIGSOUND this year, and they showed no signs of uncertainty. Potential new crowd favourite.
