Sydney band look to other projects

More Belles Will Ring More Belles Will Ring

Sydney harmony chasers Belles Will Ring have revealed to theMusic.com.au that an upcoming show, where they'll play latest album Crystal Theatre in full, will be the band's last for the foreseeable a future as they enter into an indefinite hiatus.

The band – who've had a chequered career of activity – will play at Sydney's The Vanguard Saturday 20 October, playing the record in full and launching the vinyl edition of it.

In a statement issued to theMusic.com.au today they said that the show, “Could be our last show for a very long time”.

“Being in Belles Will Ring has been like riding an old wooden rollercoaster for seven years – moments of tame, rickety pleasantness, then sudden, violent dips and jolts that have you gripping the railing and wondering whether it was a good idea to even get on this crazy son-of-bitch. Once you're off, you're like, 'Damn that was fun, should we go again?!'

“Belles are at that very juncture,” they continued. “We all have musical projects that will make it impossible for the band to exist for a while.”

The band, whose founding members Liam Judson and Aidan Roberts have a number of side projects and producing credits between them, added, “I don't feel this is the end of the story... yet.”

The Vanguard show will also see Knievel perform and play Steep Hill Climb in full. Tickets available here.
