A war of words has erupted between alternative hip hop band Death Grips and their record label Epic.

According to multiple reports the trio were frustrated that Epic - a subsidiary of Sony - weren't going to release their second album album NO LOVE DEEP WEB until sometime in 2013, so they took it upon themselves to leak it via Soundcloud - before they'd shown it to the label themselves, allegedly.

The band posted a series of tweets just prior to the leak, including this one:

According to the band, Epic weren't too impressed with this and the official Death Grips website, ThirdWorlds.net, was taken offline just hours after the incident. Band member Zach Hill has claimed to Pitchfork that Epic were responsible for the shutdown, a move which the label are denying.
