New Zealand rockers are releasing their fifth record ten years to the day after their first.

More The Datsuns More The Datsuns

There are plenty of people around who believe The Datsuns to be one of New Zealand's finest ever rock'n'roll groups and after you hear their fifth studio record Death Rattle Boogie, you'll find it hard to disagree. The record is out on Friday 12 November, precisely ten years to the day since the release of their much lauded eponymous debut.

Around that time the music press around the world were heralding the “return of rock'n'roll” and The Datsuns were seen as one of the real torchbearers. They've kept plugging away since then with a bunch of solid records and plenty of world touring and this December they hit Australian shores with their new record in hand to give us a chance to witness where they're at right now.

The record was partly recorded in Dolf De Borst's Gutterview Studios in Sweden and \Neil Finn's Roundhead Studios in Auckland, all done under the watchful eye and well–tuned rock'n'roll ear of ex– The Hellacopters Nicke Andersson.

Grab the record and get familiar with the tunes before the band hit the road this December. Dates are as follows:
