Could this be a sign of things to come?

More Gotye More Gotye

In what could well be an insight into the nominations for the main categories of the 2012 ARIA Awards, producers, engineers and designers 360, Gotye and The Jezabels have picked up an early bag of nominations as the nominees for the ARIA Artisan Awards were revealed this afternoon.

Collaborators with The Jezabels and 360 lead the charge with three nominations apiece, their respective records being recognised in the Best Cover Art, Engineer of the Year and Producer of the Year categories. Gotye's Making Mirrors was recognised in the both the Cover Art and Engineer categories.

Also announced today were the Fine Arts awards, which include the Classical, Jazz, World Music and Soundtrack categories.

The full list of nominees for both the Artisan and Fine Arts awards are below. The awards will be announced at the ARIA nomination event  on Wednesday 3 October.
