The video for Rattling The Keys To The Kingdom gives props to around 90 MCs and groups form the Aussie hip hop scene.

More Hilltop Hoods More Hilltop Hoods

The mighty Hilltop Hoods have dropped another new clip today, this one for their track Rattling The Keys To The Kingdom.

It's a fantastic clip that pays the ultimate respect to the Aussie hip hop scene that the Hilltops – insanely popular as they are – still clearly feel a part of and hold very dear. Eevryone from Lazy Grey to Briggs to Downsyde to Illy to MC Dusk to Def Wish Cast and the legendary, sadly deceased, Hunter – and that's to name but a select few!

In a statement issued alongside the clip, the band said they wanted to do their part in unifying the scene.

“We wanted to do something that was unique and at the same time unifying. So we decided to invite members of the Hip Hop community from all over Australia to join us in the making of the filmclip.

“Not only did we want to do something unifying, we also wanted to use the platform we have to promote artists that we think deserve more exposure. Of course, not everyone involved in the filmclip needs exposure, as many of the artists involved have huge followings in their own right. But having these artists involved in the filmclip just further serves to unify and consolidate the scene.”

As well as appearing in the clip, all the Aussie artists featured make up a very cool soundboard that the band have put together on their Rattling The Keys website. You can hear them all doing their thing and visit their sites to learn more. Check it here.
