Music Royalty Accounting Company Prepares BIGSOUND Launch

White Sky Royalty Accounting will be officially launched tomorrow

A new artist-focused royalty accounting company White Sky Royalty Accounting is set to be launched at BIGSOUND tomorrow.

Created by music bookkeeping and management company White Sky Music and Gerry McKenna of Royalty Accounting Services, the new company is specifically aimed at helping artists and managers understand and maximise their royalty income, a prominent revenue stream for musicians. The company will be launched in a 15 minute presentation at BIGSOUND tomorrow (Wednesday 12 September).

McKenna will draw upon 30 years of accounting experience relating to royalties, she set up RAS in 1998 after time with Mushroom and Polygram, amongst others. White Sky Music's founder and Managing Director Tom Harris was a co-manager of the Temper Trap up until 2011 while Paul Luczak, a Director of White Sky and qualified Accountant, currently manages the finances of artists like Gotye, John Butler Trio and Cut Copy.

Prior to their presentation tomorrow, the company says as part of their services they, “Will also prepare clear and concise reporting, presenting sales data from all sources of royalty revenue in all territories as well as generating all third party royalty reporting required for producers and collaborators.”
