Tim Minchin To Star In Sydney Theatre Company's 2013 Season

Sydney Theatre Company's (STC) Co-Artistic Directors Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton have unveiled plans for their final season with Sydney Theatre Company.
 
Tim Minchin will make his STC debut performance with Toby Schmitz - the duo will perform Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, directed by Simon Phillips.  

Cate Blanchett and French actor Isabelle Huppert will star in a new translation of Jean Genet's 1947 play The Maids by Andrew Upton and Benedict Andrews. While Richard Roxburgh and Hugo Weaving will be reunited for Beckett's Waiting For Godot.

The season also includes One Man, Two Guvnors by Richard Bean, directed by The National Theatre's Nicholas Hytner.

STC favourite Helen Thomson (The Splinter and Under Milk Wood) will be in George Bernard Shaw's Mrs Warren's Profession.

Kate Grenville's bestselling novel The Secret River will be adapted for the stage by Andrew Bovell. While Gideon Obarzanek will present a new dance work, Dance Better At Parties. Laser Beak Man is a collaboration between artist Tim Sharp, David Woods and Back To Back Theatre (Ganesh Versus The Third Reich). Matthew Whittet's School Dance, a stage adaptation by Tom Holloway of Colin Thiele's much-loved Storm Boy will be on early 2013.

Also, get ready for trash theatre darlings Sisters Grimm who will present Little Mercy.
